I joined the Nigerian Federal Civil Service in August 1982 as an Information Officer and progressed steadily through the ranks over a period of 35 years. My career spanned multiple Ministries, Departments and Agencies, where I worked primarily in government communications, public administration and institutional leadership.
In the course of my service, I held several senior positions including Director of Information and Permanent Secretary. I served as Permanent Secretary, Common Services Office in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, and later as Permanent Secretary of the Federal Capital Territory Administration from November 2015 to August 2017.
Throughout my career, I was involved in policy coordination, strategic communication, inter-governmental collaboration and administrative reform, contributing to effective public service delivery at the highest levels of government.
During my tenure as Permanent Secretary, I led and participated in several national and international conferences, including:
United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development, Surabaya, Indonesia (2016)
UN Habitat Conference on the New Urban Agenda, Quito, Ecuador (2016)
Africa Capital Cities Sustainability Forum, Tshwane, South Africa (2017)
