My professional interests are centred on public administration, governance, policy coordination, international relations, strategic communication, institutional development and leadership within the public sector. Over the course of my career, I developed a strong interest in policy coordination, strategic government communications and the role of effective information management in promoting transparency, accountability and public trust in government institutions.
I am particularly interested in public sector leadership, civil service reform and the strengthening of administrative systems to enhance service delivery. My experience in senior management roles also informed my interest in inter-governmental relations, stakeholder engagement and the application of best practices in governance at both national and sub-national levels.
In addition, I maintain a strong academic and professional interest in public relations, credibility in public communication and the role of competence and professional ethics in government information management. These interests have continued to shape my engagement with public policy, governance discourse and professional development initiatives beyond my retirement from active public service.
I am a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), reflecting my long-standing professional involvement in public relations, government communications and information management within the public sector.
I am also a member of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA). In the course of my engagement with the Institute, I have contributed to scholarly discourse on public opinion and foreign policy, including the publication of an article titled “Public Opinion and Foreign Policy: Reflections on the Anglo-Nigerian Defence Pact” in Nigeria Forum (September/October 1980).
